Ship a Fragile Item Safely in Concord Township – Glass, Ceramics, Electronics

Shipping something breakable and terrified it'll arrive in pieces? We pack fragile items every single day—glassware, dishes, electronics, collectibles. We know how to protect it.

What We Do

We use double-boxing, foam inserts, bubble wrap, corner protection, and "Fragile" labeling to make sure your item survives the journey. We've shipped everything from fine china to glass art to vintage electronics.

Why This Happens

Shipping carriers throw packages. That's not an exaggeration—it's reality. Fragile items need internal cushioning that absorbs shock, not just external bubble wrap.

How We Help

  1. Bring your fragile item (or tell us what it is)
  2. We assess the risk: weight, shape, breakable points
  3. We wrap each piece individually in foam or bubble wrap
  4. We use a box with 2–3 inches of cushioning on all sides
  5. For high-value items, we double-box (box inside a box)
  6. We label "Fragile" and "This Side Up" if needed
  7. We can insure it and hand you a receipt with tracking

What to Bring

  • The fragile item
  • Original packaging if you have it (helps but not required)
  • Any documentation if it's valuable (for insurance purposes)

Frequently Asked Questions

Get quick answers to the most common questions about packaging, carriers, pricing, and what to expect.

How do I know it won't break?
We can't guarantee carriers won't be rough, but we can guarantee your item is packed to withstand normal (and abnormal) handling. We've had a 99%+ success rate with fragile shipments.
Should I insure it?
If it's worth more than $100 or irreplaceable, yes. Insurance costs about $1–2 per $100 of value.
What's double-boxing?
We pack the item in a smaller box with cushioning, then place that box inside a larger box with more cushioning. It's the gold standard for fragile items.

Bring it in—we'll pack it like it's our own. No appointment needed.

“Great place with easy and fast shipping services. Frank was excellent! Not only was he friendly and professional, but went out of his way to find me the easiest and most affordable option to ship my golf clubs across country while I was visiting OH. Made things simple and my travels way easier.”

“Frank, the owner of Mailbox Plus in Concord Township by Lucky’s Market, is truly exceptional. He is brilliant, thoughtful, attentive, and takes the work of shipping and transportation seriously. I have been mailing sentimental items—some quite large and bulky—to different parts of the U.S., and Frank consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is handled with care. Most recently, my friend received a set of 10 collector plates, and they arrived safe and sound because they were packaged so exceptionally well. If you talk with Frank, you quickly learn that he has a real philosophy and a deep sense of care when it comes to shipping people’s belongings. He treats each item with respect, and that means so much. Beyond the quality of his work, Frank is simply a good man. He listened kindly while we rang up the transaction, and having such a friendly, caring person behind the counter made the experience even more meaningful. I am grateful for his help and highly recommend supporting this store.”

“Love this place! I pop in several times a week and have never had an issue! Makes shipping so easy and convenient! Owners are so sweet and easily approachable. They ship out through lots of carriers and offer a variety of shipping packaging options, making it a one stop shop!”
